There are very few of us that have a paragraph or even a sentence written about us in any book to show that we have lived and loved, sweated and cried over the trials and temptations of this life. And most of us will not know what to make of our lives, even at the end. Little do we know that we may have made an impression on someone and not even realized what waves or ripples we may cause on down through history.

Let us recall for a moment who may have touched our lives.

Morgan County, Ohio, furnished the Civil War with three Generals:

• Joseph Bailey
• Jeremiah Rusk
• Otho French Strahl.

(Strahl became a Brigadier General in the Confederate Army and was killed in the battle of Franklin near Dyersburg in Tennessee.)

Let us think for a moment of school teacher, doctor and author, James Ball Naylor of Malta, and his accomplishments.

There are many stories that need to be told.
