M & M Marching Band - Joseph Sabino, Director

This recording was made in either 1962 or 1963.

Malta/McConnelsville residents were always very supportive of the band and we were blessed to have Joe Sabino as director! He was a fabulous musician.

I particularly loved the Saturday night concerts on the courthouse lawn. We toted our chairs and music stands down Kennebec from the High School and then played all sorts of music for about an hour while people strolled by to listen. The concert included many John Philip Sousa marches. GREAT FUN!

To listen to the recording, just click on the play symbol - wait for it to download - and then click on the same symbol once again. Enjoy!

Since I was also in the band, it was fun hearing this recording with the pic and all. My memories of the band are among my best memories of my life. I know I have this recording stashed away somewhere, as well. This makes a great memory page! Good job, Leila!
